Kiki Women Weavers is a women's weaving cooperative composed of community members from Kibera. Kiki Women Weavers is one of the income-generating businesses at the KDI Kibera Public Space Project 01. The women harvest Water Hyacinth from the Nairobi Dam. Water Hyacinth is an invasive weed that is choking the Nairobi Dam. The plant can be use to make a variety of items from soap to furniture. Kiki Women Weavers use the harvested Water Hyacinth to weave baskets and rugs of all sizes.
