Research Consultant
Manshur is a Research Consultant at KDI Kenya. He is passionate about cartography, data management, and visualization. Manshur supports KDI’s research on the Kibera bypass in partnership with the University of Birmingham and the University of Nairobi, carrying out field data collection, coordinating focus groups and workshops, compiling data, and reporting. Previously, Manshur worked at Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, Childline Kenya as a community facilitator, and Care International Kenya as a community-based trainer. He also worked at Huduma Namba on the Kenyan National Integrated Identity Management System, and at the Kenyan National Bureau of Statistics as an ICT supervisor for the 2019 population census, as well as carrying out various research roles with the African Institute of Children’s Studies (AICS), Plan International-Kenya, Tangaza University College, and Open Society Justice Initiative. Manshur holds a BSc in Geoinformatics from Future University, Sudan, and is currently pursuing his MSc in Environmental Sustainability and Green Technology from Keele University, UK.
