Mary is a Community Associate at KDI Kenya. She has a passion for promoting sustainable access to essential resources, helping poor and marginalized communities that need them the most to improve their health, food security, and economic well-being. Mary brings expertise in research, trainings and workshops, community facilitation, project monitoring and evaluation, and data collection and analysis to her work at KDI. Previously, she worked at GIZ as an intern and a junior consultant supporting the International Water Stewardship Project (IWaSP), a partnership between GIZ and Kenya Water and Civil Societies. Mary also worked as a research assistant on projects in water and sanitation, ecological restoration, environmental education, solid waste management, and community empowerment. She recently supported the curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation of the National Occupational Standards for environmental technicians and environmental managers for TVET institutions in Kenya. Mary holds a diploma in Environmental Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Kenyatta University.
